CADEJO, one of Korea's leading live bands in the indie scene, has collaborated with Naoyuki Uchida, a leading Japanese dub engineer, to create their latest album, "ENDLESS." As the album title suggests, it contains seven tracks that explore loop music from diverse perspectives. The spacious sounds of analog synthesizers introduced for this work blend with deep dub mixes, resulting in a trippy and bizarre masterpiece. This album was recorded in a studio in Chuncheon, Korea, in the middle of winter, in a style reminiscent of a live take. Naoyuki Uchida's dub mix is ??boldly and unrestricted, as if jamming with the band's free-flowing performance, resulting in raw and vivid music born from the mutual inspiration between the two. The black music that has been at the core of CADEJO's sound, along with the diverse musical backgrounds of the three members, are reconstructed under the concept of "loop music," creating an unparalleled sound... What kind of music is this, exactly? This trippy album takes you on a journey to a foreign land with seven tracks: the lengthy "ENDLESS JUNGLE," "ENDLESS DIVE," and "ENDLESS FEVER," which unfold in an ecstatic and thrilling way that could be described as Krautrock, Experiment, Post-rock, or even human-powered trance music; the humorous alternative and eccentric groove of "ENDLESS DANCE"; the psychedelic "ENDLESS NIGHT," which invites you into a meditative space; the Hawaiian-inspired "ENDLESS MOON," featuring slide guitar played on an empty whiskey bottle; and the fantastical chill number "ENDLESS WAVE," featuring guest appearance by keyboardist Emerson Kitamura, whom CADEJO greatly admires. The sonic inspiration is endless!! This work is brimming with unknown possibilities. This is an ambitious turning point for CADEJO, who have steadily built their career in the Korean indie scene, and a work that marks a new beginning, born from the collaboration of Korean and Japanese artists.
