Turbulence is a progressive metal band formed in 2013 in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, which faces the Mediterranean Sea and is located at the border of Europe and the Arab world, giving it religious and ethnic diversity. They have steadily gained strength by hosting live events in their hometown of Beirut where they play songs by Dream Theater, whom they openly cite as a major influence, In 2015, they released their first album, "Disequilibrium." Their progressive and technical style, directly influenced by Dream Theater, combined with emotionally resonant melodies reminiscent of European prog metal acts like Haken and Tesseract, created a grand and epic world that quickly gained attention in the Beirut local metal scene. After finalizing their current lineup, they began working on a new album, securing a contract with the important Italian HR/HM label, Frontiers Records. In March 2021, they released their latest album, "Frontal," worldwide, establishing themselves as a leading band in the next generation of prog metal.
