The birth of melancholic soul, brought together with outstanding pop sensibilities based on jazzy guitar riffs! The debut album of young producer Pastel, who also supports FKJ, is now available as a Japan-exclusive CD & LP! Pastel, a young producer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter from French Polynesia, currently based in London, has released his long-awaited debut album as a Japan-exclusive CD & LP! Based on jazzy guitar riffs, he casually blends soul, house, hip-hop, bossa nova, and fusion with a new generation sensibility, knocking you out with his outstanding pop sensibilities! Pastel, a multi-instrumentalist, was influenced by 70s music, mainly neo-soul and Brazilian jazz, and taught himself instruments and songwriting. Currently supporting FKJ, he participated in the remix album of French Caribbean diva Adureen's latest work "Interimes," alongside Blue Lab Beats and Kraak & Smaak, contributing the opening track. His latest single also features a remix of Snowk and J.LAMOTTA Suzume's collaboration "Under The Moon," making him a highly anticipated artist in the current London scene! Following the release of this debut album, he has been featured in media outlets such as Rolling Stone Magazine, Earmilk, Metropolis, and Stereofox, and has been picked up by popular Spotify playlists such as Fresh Finds, Jazz UK, Electro Chill, and Chill Vibes! This is superb melancholic neo-soul, with a relaxed atmosphere throughout, lustrous and melancholic guitar solos, and a perfect blend of gritty, nostalgic live sounds and house/R&B-influenced beat approaches!
