Having become unrivaled in the Gunma area with his ultimate driving skills, Takumi, as a member of PROJECT.D, heads to the sacred Hakone Pass in the Kanto region in the previous installment, "5th Stage." There, he faces even more formidable opponents than before, engaging in fierce battles. "Final Stage" depicts the battle between the protagonist, Takumi Fujiwara, and a younger genius driver who also drives an AE86 Sprinter Trueno.
