Two years have passed since then, and the long-awaited new album has been released. Teaming up with the same Joe Farnsworth (drums) and Jeremy Brown (bass) as on the previous album, they perform Gershwin numbers. The charm of Gershwin's music lies in its refined melodies and lyrics, and its profound ability to embrace the individuality and expression of musicians who sing and play while maintaining the Gershwin style. George Gershwin produced some of the most memorable orchestral works of the 20th century, and it goes without saying that the source of these works was the piano. That's the style in which the composer himself performed at parties with women by his side. These pieces have endured the test of changing times and have been loved for a long time, with many musicians discovering new aspects of them. The Gabriel Luttin Trio's arrangements in this work successfully highlight the brilliance of the original song's structure. And for those who question, "What's the point of continuing to play standards?", I want to wholeheartedly applaud their approach in demonstrating that when world-class musicians play familiar songs, something new and exciting can be created, while simultaneously reminding us of the origins on which much of today's jazz was built.
