Contents: Laura Logic, a member of the iconic British punk band X-Ray Specs, was unexpectedly forced to leave the band before recording their debut album, *GERM FREE ADOLESCENTS* (1977). Undeterred, Laura formed the post-punk band Essential Logic, and with her sharp saxophone playing and unique vocal style as her trademarks, she produced some of the most free and exciting music in the early post-punk scene. This album, *BEAT RHYTHM NEWS (WADDLE YA PLAY?)*, is the band's debut studio album, released in December 1979 thanks to the strong support of Jeff Travis of Rough Trade. This 45th Anniversary Edition is a complete compilation of the original album's tracks plus studio recordings from 1978 to 1983. This release includes plenty of tracks, such as the iconic debut single "Aerosol Burns" (1978) from CELLS RECORDS, the first physical release of "WAKE UP" (1979) since its original pressing, and the previously unreleased B-side "FLORA FORCE."
