Andres Beeuwsaerto, a member of the Aca Seca Trio, a group familiar to many from their frequent visits to Japan, and a leading Argentine pianist/composer, released this album, "Dos R?os," in 2009 as his debut work under his own name. The sound is reminiscent of the works of "Argentine sound music" artists such as Mono Fontana and Alejandro Franov, as well as their origins, such as Weather Report and the Pat Metheny Group, and is beautifully harmonized with simple melodies and rich rhythms derived from folklore. The beautiful and ephemeral soundscape, mirroring the world of the artwork, shocked many listeners and spurred the subsequent Argentine music boom. A highlight is the participation of up-and-coming musicians with close ties to the artist, including his Aka Seca Trio bandmates Juan Quintero and Mariano Cantero.
