The Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio's new project is a reunion session with Yoshihiko Kannari, the engineer who revolutionized jazz sound as the exclusive engineer for the legendary 1970s Japanese jazz label "Three Blind Mice"! His instrument miking technique, which gets as close as possible to the source of the sound, and his recording techniques that don't shy away from peaks are still intact. As bonus tracks, representative songs and are included for comparison. The mastering is handled by Sony Music Studios, which has released over 70 titles in the TBM reissue series since 2012 and is intimately familiar with its sound. Will the sound that emerges be a recreation of that time, or the maturation of half a century? Please come and see for yourself.
