Godflesh's mastermind: Justin K. Broadrick has been mainly active with Godflesh and JESU in recent years, and under the name JK Fresh, he has been playing downtempo music influenced by dubstep, and recently has been making headlines with his reunion with his Techno Animal ally Kevin Martin. This album is a kind of 'controversial work' that Justin himself says is "quite different". The album showcases a wide range of styles, from tracks featuring the cold, relentless machine beats and heaviness that are so characteristic of Godflesh, to those emphasizing the overwhelming beats of JK Fresh and Techno Animal, to those featuring beautifully soundscaped guitar work like Yesu, and to introspective solos/solitude like Final.
