[100th Anniversary of Birth: Miles Davis - Kevin Gray Remastered SACD] [SACD Hybrid] [Limited Edition] Miles Davis, the eternal king of jazz, will celebrate his 100th birthday in 2026. To commemorate this, three titles have been released as hybrid SACDs, using the latest remastered audio by master engineer Kevin Gray, who worked on Blue Note's popular reissue series "Tone Poet" and "Classic Vinyl." This is the first time these remastered audio tracks have been released on SACD, and "Birth of the Cool" is also the world's first CD release, making it a truly valuable collection. The setlist consists of three sessions that the young Miles Davis recorded for Blue Note: two tracks from 1952, three from 1953, and six from 1954. In the third session, considered the best of the bunch, Davis delivers a beautiful and thrilling performance backed by the trio of Horace Silver, Percy Heath, and Art Blakey. "It Never Entered My Mind" is particularly outstanding. This recording is just as good as the famous later performance (Prestige's "Workin'").
