Contents: [SHM-CD specification, Japan edition only] This 1CD edition features a selection of highlights from the Palladium concert on October 31, 1978, considered the pinnacle of Zappa's annual Halloween events! Zappa held Halloween concerts every year starting around 1972. After 1979, due to various circumstances, the concerts were no longer held in the same format as before, so the approximately 4-hour concert held at the Palladium in New York on Halloween night in 1978 is considered one of the highest points in its history. This package condenses the highlights selected from that legendary stage onto one CD. The recorded audio was mixed and mastered from the original 24-track analog tapes, with mixing by Craig Parker Adams (Winslow Connecticut Studios) and mastering by John Polito (Audio Mechanics). The English booklet includes liner notes and technical notes by Joe Travers, manager of the Zappa family's tape archives, as well as rare photographs taken by photographer Lynn Goldsmith.
