Product Description
Contents: [SHM-CD specification, Japan edition only] This album contains recordings of Elton John's live performances with Ray Cooper (percussionist) held at the Rainbow Theatre in London over six days from May 2nd to 7th, 1977. It includes 13 songs selected by Elton himself. Many of the songs are rare live performances, with four being performed live for the first time (3, 9, 10, 11). The first half of the concerts featured Elton playing piano and singing, while the second half featured collaborations with Ray Cooper. At the time, Elton's concert venues were typically arenas and stadiums, so these six consecutive nights of live performances in a venue with a capacity of 3,000 people were extremely valuable. The first official LP (containing 12 tracks) was released for Record Store Day in April 2025. The CD includes one bonus track (13).
