All titles are being released on SHM-CD for the first time, and 8 of the 10 works are being reissued on CD for the first time in approximately 20 years since 1997. This is the only Verve work recorded with a quartet that included a young Ronnie Liston Smith. Kirk's soulful playing on the tenor saxophone in "Alfie" proves his extraordinary talent.
