Contents: Jos? James's magnificent comeback. The second autobiographical original album, offering a modern interpretation of 70s soul music. Jos? James, a leading vocalist in the contemporary jazz scene, releases this new album on his own label, Rainbow Blonde, as a sequel to '1978', released in 2024. Inspired by jazz fusion, kung fu movies, and blaxploitation films, the album includes danceable original tracks such as "Tokyo Daydream," which is themed around Tokyo, as well as modern interpretations of classic songs released between 1978 and 1979, including Michael Jackson's "Rock With You," Herbie Hancock's "I Thought It Was You," The Rolling Stones' "Miss You," and the Bee Gees' "Love You Inside Out." The album features a strong band of familiar members from recordings and tours, including BIGYUKI, as well as Takuya Kuroda, Ben Wendel, Evan Dorsey, and Talia Bilig.
