Hiromi's Sonicwonder is a band formed with up-and-coming musicians Adrian Farrow (bass), Gene Coy (drums), and Adam O'Farrill (trumpet). Since May 2023, they have toured the world, receiving enthusiastic responses everywhere with their dynamic, electric-influenced performances. This second album, released a year and a half after their previous work "Sonicwonderland," opens with a Sonicwonder version of "XYZ," which graced the beginning of their shocking 2003 debut album "Another Mind," followed by a lineup of diverse new songs. The album includes "Yes! Ramen!!," a song celebrating their long-standing love for ramen; "OUT THERE," a four-track suite; the aptly titled poppy "Balloon Pop"; and "Pendulum," which features singer-songwriter Michelle Willis in both vocal and piano solo versions. The album's supple and vibrant sound proves that the band's chemistry has reached new heights after their world tour. The jacket illustration is once again a new piece by Lou Beach, who has worked on numerous classic albums since the 1970s, including Weather Report's "Heavy Weather."
