This is a vacuum-packed recording of their third recording and live performance, realized 20 years after their fateful encounter. Though their genres differ, Akiko Yano and Hiromi Uehara continue to achieve global success with the piano. Their encounter dates back 20 years to 2004. They first performed together on a music program on television, hit it off, and began a relationship both professionally and personally. Since then, they have collaborated at festivals both domestically and internationally, and on each other's album recordings. In 2011, they released their first collaborative live album, "Get Together ~LIVE IN TOKYO~," and in 2017, the second installment, "Ramen na Onnatachi -LIVE IN TOKYO-." After that, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Akiko Yano participated in the "SAVE LIVE MUSIC" live series, which Hiromi Uehara launched with the aim of helping the live music industry, and they performed together on stage. Eight years after their previous recording live performance (September 2016), Akiko Yano and Hiromi Uehara held their third collaborative recording live performance, "Akiko Yano x Hiromi Uehara Recording Live in Tokyo ~Step Into Paradise~," at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall on September 24th and 25th. The recording of that performance, a heated piano session where their mutual inspirations clashed at a high level, will be released as a live album. The first-press limited edition DVD will include two live performance videos from that day. Media reviews and more Akiko Yano and Hiromi Uehara, though in different genres, continue to be active on the world stage with the piano. This album captures the electrifying piano session where their mutual inspirations clash at a high level, preserving the experience in a vacuum-sealed format. It features not only their original compositions, but also mashups of classic Japanese and Western songs that transcend genres and eras, showcasing the duo's unique and special performances. A newly arranged version of "I Want to Eat Ramen," previously featured on their two albums, is also included.
