Contents: [Limited Edition] [Blue Note RVG Rare Record Collection] [Rudy Van Gelder 100th Anniversary] [SHM-CD] [Japan Exclusive] Rudy Van Gelder (RVG), one of the greatest engineers in jazz history, recorded numerous masterpieces for Blue Note, Prestige, Impulse!, and others. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, the hit series "24 bit by RVG" is being reissued. Starting in 1998, he began digitally remastering his own Blue Note recordings, reviving the innovative Blue Note sound for the CD era. This time, 30 rare titles that have not been reissued in Japan in recent years have been carefully selected and reissued in SHM-CD format. This is the first Blue Note release by Curtis Fuller, a leading trombonist representing hard bop. His emotionally rich performance of "What a Wonderful Night" with just one horn is superb. The ballads played with a rich tone are deeply moving. Other highlights include the exotic "Oscalypso" and a masterful solo on his own blues composition, showcasing his deep bass tones. Hank Mobley participates on four tracks.
