Pale Waves, the four-piece rock band from Manchester that has gained popularity as a new icon of UK rock, will release their long-awaited new album, "Smitten," on September 20th. Much of the album "Smitten" captures the excitement and happiness of the beginning of a queer relationship. Created over two years while traveling back and forth between America and England, this album is a reflection of the band's roots in northern England. The new album refreshes the rebellious pop-punk sound heard on their 2022 album "Unwanted," filling it with sharp, catchy hooks, pounding snares, and intense alternative pop, while still retaining the fresh sound of their hometown, Manchester. Vocalist Heather Baron-Gracie says she has finally realized she can look back on her teenage years, which she had long forgotten. "When you fall in love, you get really depressed. It's fascinating to me that you can feel infatuated with someone, and then that person turns out to be a complete stranger.
