It features the latest remastering by Kevin Gray, an engineer who has demonstrated his mastery in US Blue Note analog reissue series such as "Tone Poet" and "Classic Vinyl." By utilizing the digital source he created for the analog reissue, the ultimate analog sound has been achieved, faithfully reproducing the sound of the original master tapes as much as possible. This is the final work from the marathon sessions recorded for Blue Note just before moving to Verve. It features superb soul jazz with Stanley Turrentine, with whom he also collaborated on "Midnight Special" and "Back at the Chicken Shack." The familiar gospel number "When the Saints Go Marching In" is poppy and fun.
