Contents: [Limited Edition] [Japan Exclusive] [UHQCD Specification] [First UHQCD Release] Blue Note @ 85 (Remastered by Kevin Gray) 3rd Series, 1st Release This is the latest reissue series, a Japan-exclusive project commemorating the 85th anniversary of Blue Note, the greatest jazz label in history. It features the latest remastering by Kevin Gray, an engineer who has demonstrated his mastery in US Blue Note analog reissue series such as "Tone Poet" and "Classic Vinyl." By utilizing the digital source he created for the analog reissues, the ultimate analog sound has been achieved, faithfully reproducing the sound of the original master tapes as much as possible. This is the Blue Note debut album of bluesy and gospel-like organist Baby Face Willett. From the danceable "Swingin' at Sugar Rays" at the beginning, he delivers a funky performance. The combination with R&B tenor saxophonist Fred Jackson and single-tone master Grant Green is superb.
