This recording ultimately became the culmination of Satchmo's musical career. From the moment Louis received a copy of this recording, he decided he wanted the whole world to hear this music. He played this tape every time he had visitors at his house. Louis attached a note that read "FOR THE FANS" to the outside of the tape box.
