[ECM 55 Revisits] 55 masterpieces from the ECM label, established in 1969, will be reissued in three parts, in chronological order of recording. ECM owner Manfred Eicher has, since the label's inception, followed the motto "The Most Beautiful Sound Next To Silence," meticulously producing and releasing a truly unique sound for 55 years. Even now, always looking to the future, he actively discovers and produces not only long-time veterans but also young talents. This reissue series aims to convey the amazing appeal of the label, which continues to thrive as a "currently evolving" entity, to the next generation, including not only historically significant masterpieces but also works released within the last 10 years. We will introduce you to the further depths of the ECM edition of "Jazz Department Store." The first installment, titled "ECM 55 Revisits 1970's & 80's," features a lineup of early masterpieces from the 1970s and 80s. A total of 55 titles. First installment: "ECM 55 Revisits 1970's & 80's" 20 titles, released June 5, 2024. Second installment: "ECM 55 Revisits 1990's & 2000's" 20 titles, released June 26, 2024. Third installment: "ECM 55 Revisits 2010's & 2020's" 15 titles, released July 17, 2024. Limited edition SHM-CD with new liner notes. The second ECM release from a trio by a Swiss pianist with a delicate and subtle power. From this album onwards, Julien Sartorius takes over on drums, adding floating rhythmic details and creating a world that feels like stepping into a brave new space.
