This is her first original album in two years, released amidst the success of the soundtrack for the animated film "BLUE GIANT," for which she composed the music. The new project, "Hiromi's Sonicwonder," is a four-piece band formed with up-and-coming musicians Adrian Farrow (bass), Gene Coy (drums), and Adam O'Farrill (trumpet), delivering an aggressive and powerful sound that will blow away the effects of the pandemic. In addition to new songs written specifically for this project, the album includes rearranged versions of songs that were released during the pandemic as part of her SNS project "One Minute Portrait." Furthermore, UK singer-songwriter/keyboardist Ollie Rockberger participates as a vocalist on "Reminiscence" (lyrics co-written by Uehara and Ollie). The jacket illustration is a new drawing by Lou Beach, who has worked on numerous classic albums since the 1970s, including Weather Report's "Heavy Weather." All three versions will include an instrumental version of "Reminiscence" as a bonus track for the Japanese edition. The first-press limited edition will also include two documentary videos on a bonus DVD.
