Contents [SHM-CD] Eight years after their previous album, "What the World Needs Now...", the Japanese release of their 11th studio album, "End of World," has been confirmed! This new album, in which the band's longest and most stable lineup has poured all their energy, began recording during their 40th anniversary tour in 2018. After being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, it was completed through sessions that resumed after the lockdown. However, on April 5, 2023, John Lydon's beloved wife, Nora Forster, passed away. While there were concerns that the album's release might be delayed, the band overcame their deep grief and decided to release "End of World." It includes 13 tracks in total, including "Hawaii," a beautiful and poignant love song dedicated by Lydon to Forster, and "Ping," which he describes as "something like a medieval Viking epic." In addition, "Punkenstein" is included as a bonus track only on the Japanese edition. Celebrating their 45th anniversary since formation and 40 years since their first visit to Japan, Public Image Ltd. continues to move forward.
