This year marks the 65th anniversary of the 1957 recording, and a complete edition is finally being released, featuring the latest remastering and 7 takes, including 4 completely unreleased takes. The previously unreleased tracks are alternate takes of "Blue Train," "Moments Notice," and "Lazy Bird" ("Moments Notice" has 2 takes). This is a historically invaluable record that vividly captures the process of this masterpiece approaching its complete form. "Moments Notice" in particular is a famous song loved by many jazz musicians, and this unreleased take is sure to generate a lot of buzz. The product will be released in two versions: stereo and mono, each in two formats: SACD (SHM specification) and UHQCD, for a total of four formats. The stereo version is a two-disc set, with the original album on Disc 1 and seven alternate takes, including four completely unreleased takes, on Disc 2. The SACD release is Japan only. The mono version is a single-disc set containing only the original album, but the CD/SACD release is Japan only, and this marks the first time the mono version has been released on SACD. *The word "STEREO" is printed on the jacket photo to distinguish between STEREO and MONO, but the actual product does not have the STEREO marking printed on it.
