The album "1971: The Road Starts Here," featuring rare early rehearsal recordings by rock legends Aerosmith, is finally being released on CD! These precious recordings, made in 1971, were recently discovered in Aerosmith's archives, Vindaloo Vaults. They were initially released as a limited edition on cassette tape and vinyl record for Record Store Day in 2021, selling out immediately and becoming extremely difficult to obtain. The artwork for this 1971 album features previously unreleased archival photos and images from the original cassette tape labels. In addition, the liner notes, written by David Frick of Rolling Stone magazine, include new interviews and comments from the band about these long-forgotten recordings. The Japanese edition includes a complete translation of these liner notes. The album contains seven tracks, including an early version of "Dream On," which was later officially recorded and became their major-label debut single in 1973. It also features early recordings of other gems that would later appear on their groundbreaking debut album, *Aerosmith*, such as "Somebody," "Movin' Out," "Walkin' the Dog," and "Mama Kin." Furthermore, this album includes "Reefer Head Woman," which later appeared on the 1979 album *Night In The Ruts*, and "Major Barbara," which appeared on the 1986 album *Classics Live*. Here, you can see a raw, unpolished Aerosmith from two years before the release of their major-label debut, *Aerosmith*. The album was produced by Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Steve Berkowitz.
