[SHM-CD] The eternally charismatic John Coltrane performed "A Love Supreme," known as his masterpiece, only a few times in public. It was previously unknown that a recording of this Seattle performance existed. This performance was recorded on October 2, 1965, at The Penthouse in Seattle. A recording from the same location has already been released under the name "Live in Seattle," but it was not known that recordings were made on other dates, making this discovery extremely valuable. This live recording includes the entirety of "A Love Supreme," and in addition to the golden quartet of McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones, who recorded the studio version in December 1964, a total of seven people took to the stage, including Pharoah Sanders. To date, there have been two original studio and one live releases of "A Love Supreme," but this album features a more adventurous and avant-garde performance compared to those two.
