The recording took place at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the oldest royal theatre in England, established in 1663. This recording marks the first performance at this theatre, which is nearing the completion of renovations that began in 2019. The recording was conducted in accordance with British government guidelines, with thorough disinfection and social distancing measures in place. The conductor is Simon Lee, who has previously conducted Webber's works. He has brilliantly brought together renowned musicians who had been separated for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
