The first release in this series is "Off the Soundboard: TOKYO 2001," which captures their performance at the Tokyo Dome on March 13, 2001. Tokyo has always been a city of special importance throughout KISS's long-running band story. "Off the Soundboard: TOKYO 2001" features a recording of KISS performing in front of a sold-out crowd of 55,000, including classic anthems like "Lovin' You Baby," "Heaven's on Fire," and "Rock 'n' Roll All Nite," as well as rare tracks like "I Still Love You" from their 1982 album "Creatures of the Night," and even rarer songs such as "I Still Love You" from the soundboard. This CD captures the essence of KISS's greatest appeal: their live performances. The March 2001 Tokyo concert, which featured 21 songs, was a monumental performance celebrating the band's musical legacy. The lineup included original KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, along with guitarist Ace Frehley, and current drummer Eric Singer. Media reviews and other information indicate that the first release in KISS's official live bootleg series is a live album capturing their March 13, 2001 Tokyo Dome performance.
