While belonging to a jazz band, she taught music to children. She later moved to Nashville and worked as a session musician. She appeared on WSM-TV (an NBC affiliate) and radio, as well as on ABC's The Johnny Cash Show (1969-71). She steadily built her career, collaborating with numerous popular musicians such as John Stewart, J.J. Cale, and Dolly Parton. She also co-founded a jingle company with her husband, composing music for commercials, and has experience composing for Off-Broadway. In addition to her solo work, she is also active with her own trio, captivating audiences with her supple and refined piano renditions of all-time best hits by The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and others. Her elegant and sophisticated arrangements, which preserve the beauty of the melodies, have captivated a wide range of audiences in Japan, from jazz fans to pop fans.
