[SHM-CD Specification] The King of High C is reborn! The greatest tenor of all time! Pavarotti, 50 years since his Decca recordings! A definitive best-of collection with 50 tracks, 2 hours and 47 minutes of music, all newly remastered! Pavarotti became world-famous as a superstar who transcended the boundaries of classical music, known as one of the "Three Tenors" and for his overwhelming singing at the Turin Olympics. 50 years ago, on September 21, 1963, he made his debut at the Royal Opera House in England, starting his international career. In November of the following year, he released his first collection of opera arias from Decca. The first album was an EP consisting of only 5 songs and 14 minutes. Next year will mark 50 years since that first recording. This album commemorates the 50th anniversary of Pavarotti's major opera debut and the 50th anniversary of his Decca recordings, and is a 2-disc set featuring 50 of his most outstanding performances, all newly remastered. Furthermore, it includes live recordings of his memorable opera debut performance in 1961! With collaborations with Stevie Wonder and Eric Clapton, it totals 2 hours and 47 minutes! This is the definitive album where you can fully enjoy the overwhelming voice of the tenor of the century! The audio has been newly remastered at 24-bit/96kHz from the original masters at Abbey Road Studios in London. [CD Track Listing] CD1: Nessun Dorma ~ A magnificent collection of opera arias! 1.
