To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Contemporary Records, a leading West Coast label, in 2026, 28 representative SHM-CDs of the label, originally released for its 60th anniversary, are being re-pressed for a limited time. This is the momentous first leader session that marked the start of Art Pepper's brilliant Contemporary Records era. It compiles the sessions with the cool white tenor saxophonist Warne Marsh, which were partially released on LP.
