WE'RE WILD, YOUNG & FREE Profile SWEDISH EROTICA was formed in 1987 with guitarists Magnus Axe and Morgan Jensen, bassist Johnny Difox (Jonas T?nstr?m), and drummer Pete Sanders (Petter Svad). They recorded demos with former Madison member G?ran Edman as a session singer, and for a short period Edman fronted Vinnie Vincent Invasion while working with Robert Fleischman and Mark Slaughter. Edman soon left the band and sang on former EUROPE guitarist John Norum's solo project and on the album "Total Control" (1987). Their debut album, "Swedish Erotica," was released in 1989, with Mats Leven, who originally served as a backing vocalist, taking on lead vocals and former frontman Tony Neva providing backing vocals. The music videos for the album's first singles, "Rock'n'Roll City" and "We're Wild, Young & Free," were aired on MTV, leading to a contract with Virgin Scandinavia and a sudden surge in popularity. Their second single, "We're Wild, Young & Free," also charted high. In June 2024, they reunited for a live performance at the Sweden Rock Festival with a lineup of Leven, Axe, Jensen, Sandrine, and Borger, and in August, they played their second reunion show at the Skogsr?jet Festival. This two-disc album, a Japan-exclusive release, features unreleased tracks from Swedish Erotica, a Swedish melodic rock band formed in 1987 and making their worldwide major debut in 1989 with Virgin Records (now Universal Music), plus live recordings from their June 2024 performance at the SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL.
