Following in the footsteps of classic rock films like "The Blues Brothers" (1980) and "Spinal Tap" (1984), the world was moved to tears and laughter by the steel road movie "Heavy Trip" (2019), a masterpiece from metal superpower Finland, and now comes the unexpected sequel, "Heavy Trip II: The Last Stand!" With the theatrical release of "[Title of the film]" scheduled for December 20, 2024, the soundtrack will finally be released on CD in Japan on Wednesday, December 11th, in response to the dissatisfaction and sadness that erupted over the digital-only release of the previous film's soundtrack. The music will be released on disc for the first time under the name IMPALED REKTUM (Rectal Collapse), the fictional "apocalyptic symphonic reindeer-crushing anti-Christ war-promoting metal" band from the film, who had no live performance experience or original songs in their 12 years of activity. The CD will include new songs, the memorable first original song by the band, "FLOODING SECRATIONS" (Japanese title: Overflowing Secretions), which was a hit with the audience during the climax of the previous film, and a new song that was humiliatingly ruined by a super-commercial big-time producer who preys on the band in this film. The film score is handled by the Swedish occult rock band YEAR OF THE GOAT. Along with tracks by IMAPLED REKTUM, the newly introduced superelectric wave death metal heavyweight band BLOODMOTOR has music produced by Mika Ramasari of the Finnish metal band MORS SUBITA. Also included is the movie version of BABYMETAL's "GIMME CHOCOLATE!!", which plays a crucial role in the film.
