[Profile] Formed in Hamburg, Germany in 1984. Released their 1st album "WALLS OF JERICHO" in 1985. Made their Japanese debut in 1987 with their 2nd album "KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS - Pt.1," featuring full-time singer Michael Kiske. They held their first concert in Japan that autumn. In 1988, they released "KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS - Pt.2," which included the timeless hit "Eagle Fly Free." They became incredibly popular in Japan, but Kai Hansen left the band the following year, 1989. Kiske left in 1994 and was replaced by Andy Deris. Their masterpiece 6th album "MASTER OF THE RINGS" sold 100,000 copies in Japan, and their 7th album "THE TIME OF THE OATH" in 1996 sold 200,000 copies. From 2017 to 2018, the seven-member band, featuring the surprise return of Kiske and Hansen, embarked on a world tour. Their first full-length album as a seven-member group, 'HELLOWEEN', was released in 2021. In 2023, they successfully held their first performance at the Nippon Budokan, and in 2026, they will return to Japan for their 40th-anniversary tour.
