To achieve a sound that satisfied the members, Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill, K.K. Downing, and John Hinch, who were in their twenties in 1974, recorded in the studio during the inexpensive nighttime hours. Under the guidance of Roger Bain, who produced BLACK SABBATH, their debut album 'ROCKA ROLLA' was born. However, the band was not involved in the mixing, mastering, or checking of the track, and Rob Halford admitted that he was "disappointed" the moment he heard the sound. However, although the album had long been owned by Gull Records and was beyond the band's control, the sale of the master tapes to the independent American music publisher Reach Music Publishing made the remix project a reality.
