After stepping down from the spotlight with JUDAS PRIEST to fulfill his duties, K.K. Downing's return was uncertain. Nearly 10 years after taking a break from his music career, the guitar icon who defines the genre has returned to activity, participating in a comeback performance that foreshadows the formation of KK'S PRIEST (including the performance in November 2022 when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside members of JUDAS PRIEST). K.K. recently reflected on this period as follows: "We have lost many greats, such as Dio and Lemmy, but this wonderfully unique musical style must be preserved for as long as possible. I feel that I will continue to play my role as I always have and protect this genre of metal that we all know and love. 'THE SINNER RIDES AGAIN' is a testament to the call for classics while sprinting full speed into the future from some of the most important performers in the heavy metal world." The lineup of top metal engineers remains the same as the previous album, including K.K. Downing and Tim "Ripper" Owens, as well as A.J. Mills (guitar), Tony Newton (bass), and Shawn Elg (drums), but this time, the mixing and mastering were handled by Jacob Hansen, a Danish engineer who is considered one of the best in the modern metal scene. Induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame In November 2022, JUDAS PRIEST was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. K.K. also attended the award ceremony held in Los Angeles, USA, as a recipient.
