From "Love" (1987) onwards, it became Roddy's solo project, and with "Dreamland" (1993), he brought in Ryuichi Sakamoto as co-producer, further maturing his sound. He continues to be active as a solo artist. "Knife" is their second album, produced by Mark Knopfler of Aztec Camera, a band that spearheaded the neo-acoustic movement of the 80s.
