Sadly, this live performance is known as one of his very last, as he passed away in Santa Monica on September 28 of the same year. Having moved to Warner Bros. in 1985, this is a live work that condenses the greatness and brilliance of the mature performances of this most important figure in the jazz world, who, without being bound by past glories, developed aggressive musical activities incorporating all genres, going beyond mere experimentation. It also includes a song written by superstar Prince, who was a friend of Miles.
