Teen Daze is the solo project of Canadian electronic dream-pop prodigy Jamison, who has steadily gained recognition and popularity with each release. Following the release of his masterpiece third album, "Glacier," in 2013, and his first performance in Japan, his latest EP, "A World Away," is now being released on CD exclusively in Japan, with bonus tracks added to the album format! Teen Daze released his first album, "All Of Us, Together," and his second album, "The Inner Mansions," in quick succession in 2012. He then released his third album, "Glacier," in 2013, and subsequently made his first visit to Japan. His dreamy sound has been embraced by many listeners here in Japan. This work was originally an EP released prior to his Scandinavian and European tour. While retaining the cool atmosphere of "Glacier," the opening track "Sun Burst" showcases a new sound, with minimalist synth loops, Teen Daze's characteristic nuanced bass, and unusually dramatic piano phrases. Maintaining a cool mood throughout, the album employs colorful synths, reverberating guitars, and heavy beats to create a danceable and emotional Teen Daze-esque dreamscape with an ambient feel. Composed with an exquisite balance of old and new styles, this is a superb work that reveals the current richness of his creative work. Released on CD in Japan with 6 bonus tracks included.
