In addition to "That Acapulco Gold," which garnered attention with this album, three previously unreleased hit singles, "Good Morning, Mr. Smith," "Fe Fi Fo Fum," and "Stop Sign," are included as bonus tracks. From their early sound influenced by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones to the depth of their original compositions, this album allows you to fully enjoy The Rainy Daze's musical trajectory. The central figure of The Rainy Daze is Tim Gilbert, who is in charge of vocals and guitar. The other members were bassist Mac Ferris and Sam Fuller, drummer Kip Gilbert (Tim's brother), and keyboardist Bob Heckendorf. At the time, Tim Gilbert began writing original songs with John Carter, who was living with him, and The Rainy Daze gained attention with "That Acapulco Gold." The two wrote a song called "Incense & Peppermints," which reached number one in the US in 1967, thanks to Strawberry Alarm Clock. However, The Rainy Daze disbanded after "That Acapulco Gold," which was about marijuana, and they were no longer picked up by radio stations. Afterwards, Tim Gilbert and John Carter pursued careers as songwriters, but "That Acapulco Gold" remains an unforgettable album as an early pioneer of psychedelic rock. Track Listing 1.
