The second album, "With the Beatles" sessions, upgraded and expanded edition! Thoroughly covers alternate versions, alternate mixes, outtakes, and related songs. The best stereo mix currently available that couldn't be fully covered in the current stereo mix. [First-press limited edition tall case size digipak specification] [Detailed Japanese commentary booklet/postcard included] The Beatles' second album, "With the Beatles," released in November 1963, debuted at number one after their previous album, "Please Please Me," which dominated the album charts for 30 consecutive weeks, and remained at number one for the next 20 weeks, becoming a mega-hit album. Perhaps because they adopted a policy of not including singles on the album, and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" is not included, it is surprisingly perceived as a rather understated album. However, the album is packed with great content, starting with "It Won't Be Long," which showcases the Beatles' signature call-and-response harmonies, as well as other numbers featuring John's sharp vocals, Paul's breakthrough hit "All My Loving," George's first composition "Don't Butter Me," and Ringo's version of "I Wanna Be Your Man," which he wrote for the Rolling Stones. With the skillful use of overdubs such as piano and handclaps, the album is a masterpiece, significantly improved both musically and as an album. Following the production policy at the time, the album was primarily "mono mix" until 2009, with the "stereo mix," where instruments are clearly separated to the left and right, being the first to be released on CD in 2009. This "farewell stereo mix" was the only negative point for fans. Certainly, the mono recordings from that era are undeniably superior. However, the value of the stereo mix, with instruments spread across both sides, is high. This time, using a new master, a stereo mix suitable for the 21st century has been achieved, with each instrument positioned in a well-balanced manner to the left and right. Featuring a rare version of the related single "I Want to Hold Your Hand c/w This Boy," along with various sessions and outtakes, this is the ultimate "With the Beatles Sessions." Includes detailed Japanese liner notes explaining the circumstances, anecdotes, and track listings of the time. A JASRAC-licensed product. The first edition includes a postcard that is a reproduction of the original novelty item. Released by Eternal Grooves in a DVD-sized digipak 2CD set.
