The Beatles, Studio Session Series, Autumn 1965 - Spring 1966! Includes chronological recordings from sessions such as "Norwegian Wood" and "Day Tripper." [2nd Edition] Now available from Eternal Grooves in an affordable standard edition! The fifth installment of Eternal Grooves' popular Beatles session recording collection covers the period from the autumn of 1965, when the Beatles were shifting their focus from stage activities to studio work, to the sessions for the album "Rubber Soul" and the following year's album "Revolver." Session tapes from this period include "Day Tripper," "Norwegian Wood," and "Paperback Writer." This collection also includes other unearthed alternate mixes, presented chronologically, allowing listeners to see the progress of the Beatles' studio work. Here's a glimpse of some of the content: Run For Your Life John's rock and roll piece, started on the first day, October 12th. Before Take 1, George tries out the intro, and it starts with John saying, "OK boys!" Norwegian Wood After recording Takes 1 and 2 in a lower key, the key is raised by one whole tone in Take 3, completely changing the atmosphere. George contributes with sitar from Take 1. Day Tripper Created for a single, the intro guitar riff is double-tracked and completed in Take 3. We Can Work It Out Recorded on October 20th, taking 9 hours. An electric guitar sound can be heard briefly before the performance, but no electric guitar appears in the song, and its unplugged atmosphere highlights the song's style. In My Life You can also hear a take where they try out the famous interlude section, which George Martin overdubs, on the organ. I'm Looking Through You The percussive Version 1 was rejected, and the acoustic Version 2 became the OK take. 12-Bar Original This was the first instrumental track, influenced by Booker T. & the MG's, but it was shelved. Here, the complete 6-minute 51-second version is included. Tomorrow Never Knows A rare mix that was mistakenly shipped with the initial UK release. There is a significant difference in the reversed guitar solo. The recording period for the album "Rubber Soul" was an environment where they could concentrate on recording without any live performances. The only exception was the MBE award ceremony at Buckingham Palace on October 26th (the jacket photo is from that day). Let's relive the Beatles' studio work in the year before the masterpiece "Sgt. Pepper's" through sound. Japanese liner notes. 8,600 characters, 8 pages.
