Contents: A vibrant 25th-anniversary album from the Cuban all-female a cappella group! Rema Quatro is a Cuban all-female vocal group named by Elena Burque, known as the "Queen of Sentimiento." They made their album debut in 1994, gaining popularity with their a cappella style of singing Cuban pop music such as fil?n and bolero, and have since collaborated with major singers like Omara Portuondo and Ibrahim Ferrer. After Israeli singer Tal Ben Ali joined in 2006, they began incorporating Arabic repertoire, and this album, released to commemorate their 25th anniversary, features live, one-take recordings of important past repertoire, showcasing their evolved, groovier, and more powerful style in this selection of Cuban classics. This is a superb vocal album that I would recommend to all music fans, not just Latin music fans! Includes Japanese liner notes/obi strip. Media reviews and more. Hema Quatro, a four-woman a cappella group currently active in Barcelona with a repertoire centered on feeling/bolero, releases their fifth album overall and their first in six years! A live-sounding work recorded in one take at a Barcelona studio on December 13, 2017. (C)RS
