Lawrence Archer, who is once again active with the reunited GRAND SLAM! His solo album, previously released only in Japan, is now officially reissued as a double album! Last year, in 2024, he released his latest album, "Wheel Of Fortune." At the same time, a remastered version of his 2019 debut album, "Hit The Ground - Revisited-," was also released domestically (both works by Rubicon Music). Lawrence Archer is the leader, composer, and guitarist of GRAND SLAM. GRAND SLAM was a band started in 1984 by Phil Lynott and (ex-Stampede) Lawrence after the breakup of THIN LIZZY. Although they were very active in live performances, they were unable to secure a record deal in the scene at the time and disbanded. Phil passed away in 1986. In his grief, Lawrence then began working on this solo album, "L.A." Lawrence composed the music and handled guitar and vocals, with drummer Zak Starkey (currently of THE WHO!, famous as Ringo Starr's son) and keyboardist Mark Steinway (Magnum/Grand Slam) participating in the recording. It was released only in Japan in 1986. Since then, the album has become an ultimate must-have item for fans worldwide, and both the CD and LP versions have become extremely rare, a status that continues to this day. Now, with the reissue of "L.A." in Japan after 39 years, and with Lawrence Archer's permission and cooperation, the album "L.A. Secrets," released in 1987 under the name ARCHER/SCALLAN, which includes new songs in addition to the "L.A." tracks recorded with Peter Scanlan, a singer who has been active in SAMSON and Moritz, will be released as a two-disc set in a beautiful gatefold paper jacket. The album will include 10 tracks from that album, as well as two previously unreleased instrumental tracks that Lawrence produced between 1989 and 1990.
