A dream collaboration project by a talented Italian guitarist, featuring a star-studded lineup of musicians including Ian Paice, Glenn Hughes, and Graham Bonnet! Italian guitarist/mentalist and Ritchie Blackmore fanatic Matt Filippini has teamed up with the long-established British melodic metal label, Escape Music, for this major project! Following the renaissance of melodic hard rock and classic rock releases such as CIRCLE OF FRIENDS and TURKISH DELIGHT, which label head Khalil Turk has poured his heart and soul into, this is a must-listen album that can be considered a definitive example of stylistic beauty! A masterpiece co-written with Alessandro Del Vecchio, this heavy, classic hard rock-influenced track is elevated by high-level vocals! It all started when they brought in Ian Paice (Deep Purple) on drums. Matt Filippini, a talented guitarist/producer from Italy and a Ritchie Blackmore fanatic, and the fixer of this album, proposed this project, thinking that it would be a shame to let Matt's previous two "MOONSTONE PROJECT" albums, which were good but had poor sound quality, be buried away. In 2009, they made a comeback after 15 years since their second album with Alessandro Del Vecchio! They are finally releasing a remastered album, "New Life," which includes new songs! This album mainly consists of restored and remixed versions of their past works, which had poor sound quality, by Matt, Khalil, and Fredrik Folkle, with two new songs added. As a result, it is a work that can be listened to as a new album today without any problems. The lineup of singers participating in the album is astonishing, including Glenn Hughes (ex-DEEP PURPLE, etc.), Graham Bonnet (RAINBOW, ALCATRAZZ), James Christian (House Of Lords), Eric Bloom (Blue Oyster Cult), Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, KING KOBRA), Kelly Keeling (MSG/Baton Rouge/John Norum), Andrew Freeman (LAST IN LINE), etc. Other bassists include Tony Franklin (Blue Murder, etc.), Clive Bunker (Jethro Tull), Carmine Appice (B,B&A, Blue Murder, KING KOBRA), Ken Hensley (ex-Uriah Heep) on keyboards, and of course Alessandro Del Vecchio (EDGE OF FOREVER, VANDEN Featuring a dazzling array of artists including PLAS, backing vocalists Robin Beck and Manfred Mann, this album brings together half of the tracks by Matt Filippini alone, and the rest co-written with Alessandro Del Vecchio. These heavy, classic hard rock-influenced songs are elevated to a high level of superb artistry by each singer! Liner notes: Lyrics and translations included, plus an interview with Matt Filippini!
