Replacing keyboardist G?nther Verno, who joined the band in 2004 and played a major role, is Alessandro Delvecchio, an icon of the melodic metal scene who has been involved in numerous bands/projects! Andy Kuntz (vocals), who, along with original band member and composer Stefan Lil (guitar), handles all the songwriting on this album, is responsible for all the lyrics and vocal lines. Kuntz welcomes Al's significant contribution to the band, saying, "I've always looked up to him. He didn't participate in the songwriting, but his keyboard work made the album's tracks much more expressive." The album includes two epic tracks exceeding 10 minutes, and two others exceeding 8 minutes, embodying a progressive worldview.
