This is the long-awaited solo work from Rick Emmett (vocals, guitar), singer and guitarist of Triumph, a three-piece hard rock band that Canada proudly presents to the world, alongside Rush! From 1975 to 1988, Rick, along with Mike Levene (bass, keyboards) and Gil Moore (vocals, drums), released nine original albums as Triumph, receiving numerous gold and platinum discs in Canada and the United States. In 2007, they were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and the following year, 2008, they were inducted into the Juno Awards Hall of Fame. They even reunited and performed at the Sweden Rock Festival. However, despite a thawing of relations among the members, no new works featuring Rick were created, and time passed. The craftsman-like Rick left the band after 1987's "Surveillance," and has continued his solo career to this day, with the exception of a single reunion concert. As a solo artist, Rick Emmett's first three albums showcased a contemporary musical style rooted in hard rock, but since then he has broadened his horizons, pursuing his own unique world as a guitarist with musical styles ranging from jazz and folk to classical and country. Now, this solitary artist, Rick Emmett, has finally released a studio album consisting entirely of Triumph numbers that fans have been eagerly awaiting! The tracklist for this album generously features Triumph's greatest hits, expressed with Rick's superb vocals and guitar playing. The CD includes two additional tracks, bringing the total to 12 songs. This is truly an album that will bring tears of joy to fans!
