Samurai Champloo is a television series animation that aired on the Fuji TV network from 2004 to 2005. While it is a period drama action series, it incorporates modern hip hop culture throughout, and its unprecedented style of using only hip hop music caused a sensation worldwide. The director is Shinichiro Watanabe, who has been delivering animation with outstanding musical sense since "Macross Plus" and "Cowboy Bebop." This album features music from four trackmakers: Nujabes, fat jon, FORCE OF NATURE, and Tsutchie, each contributing their own unique style to create an album that feels like an original. Every track continues to shine, and is a timeless classic, especially among hip-hop artists, constantly talked about and celebrated even today.
