The release of *Hygiene*, the new album from Drug Church—a pivotal band in the new generation of US hardcore punk—has been confirmed!
Based in both New York and Los Angeles, Drug Church blends hardcore punk influences (reminiscent of Black Flag) and post-punk styles with the melodic sensibilities of 90s alternative rock and grunge (typified by bands like the Pixies).
Evoking the spirit of US punk stalwarts such as Quicksand, Fugazi, Jawbreaker, and Seaweed, they have consistently delivered aggressive hardcore energy, skillful yet playful guitar riffs, and a heavy sound since their inception. They command a unique presence, balancing dynamic power with delicate, melodic elements—a hardcore punk band commanding global attention!
To date, they have released three full-length albums and toured with a wide range of acts, from current US scene leaders like Turnstile, Title Fight, Touché Amoré, and The Story So Far to heavyweights like Against Me!, Baroness, and Thrice.
Arriving about four years after their previous release, *Hygiene* will be issued via Pure Noise Records (home to State Champs, The Story So Far, and Knocked Loose) and, in Japan, through ICE GRILL$. The Japanese edition includes four bonus tracks that have not been released elsewhere.
